BetAlpha (betalpha.io) is operated by Blackbird Project Co. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information in connection with the BetAlpha quantitative sports betting analytics platform and its associated SMS alert notification system.
BetAlpha is, at the time of this writing, a single-operator internal alerting system. The only personal information collected is the mobile phone number of the system's owner/operator, which is entered voluntarily into the Settings panel of the authenticated application for the sole purpose of receiving automated model trigger alerts.
The mobile phone number provided is used exclusively to deliver automated SMS notifications when the BetAlpha quantitative models identify a trigger condition in live sports betting markets. Messages contain game details, model identifiers, and a link to betalpha.io for further detail.
Message frequency varies based on the number of qualifying model triggers during active sports seasons — typically 0 to 20 messages per day depending on market conditions.
Message and data rates may apply. Standard carrier charges for SMS messages apply and are the responsibility of the recipient.
Reply STOP at any time to unsubscribe from all BetAlpha SMS messages. Reply HELP to receive program information and support contact details.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers and any related opt-in consent data are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Information may be shared only with the SMS service provider (Twilio) solely for the technical purpose of delivering the requested messages.
BetAlpha uses industry-standard security practices including TLS encryption for all data in transit and access-controlled cloud infrastructure (DigitalOcean) for data at rest. The application itself is protected by password authentication.
The system owner may remove their phone number at any time by either (a) clearing the phone number field in the application Settings, or (b) replying STOP to any SMS message received from the service.
BetAlpha is intended for users aged 21 and over in jurisdictions where sports betting analytics are legal. The service is not directed at individuals under 21 and does not knowingly collect information from minors.
